For people with knowledge of jewellery techniques with the aim of increasing his/her skills.

Description

Engraving consists of the taking out of material from the metal. “Drawing” lines on the surface of the metal. An acid, known a mordant, eats out the metal, and erodes or dissolves the exposed parts. Depending on the time the piece stays in the acid, you get different grades of depth. Engraving has a lot of possibilities and uses in jewellery. It is very useful, for example for later application of enamels and resins, or even for metal incrustations.
