For people with knowledge of jewelry techniques with the aim of increasing his/her skills.

Description

Introductory course for all those interested in casting. In the course you will learn how to convert any organic object to metal, such as leaves, branches, shells, etc. You will also learn to make molds of plastic and metal objects for their subsequent transition to metal.

Goals

Knowledge of the metal properties, of the most used alloys, the type of flux, the pickling and the annealing processes. Care and recover of the metal. Knowledge of the different types of casting techniques and of the use of different type of molds.

Contents

Delft clay.
Cuttlefish bone.
Ceramic plasters.
Modeling and casting of organic elements.
Introduction to microfusion.
Initiation to wax modelling.

    32 hours course (8 classes of 4h.)
    From 1 to 6 classes per week.

  • Schedule:
    Monday to Thursday from 10am to 2pm.
    Monday & Wednesday from 4pm to 8pm.
    You can start at any time of the year from September to July.
    Limited places, check availability of dates and times.

    Christmas Holidays, Easter week and Summer Holidays (from July 28th to September 17th) is closed.
