Engraving consists of removing material from the metal. In this way, lines can be “drawn” on the surface of the metal. An acid is used, known as a mordant, which attacks the metal and corrodes or dissolves the exposed parts, achieving different degrees of depth, depending on how long the piece remains in acid.
Obtain a tool to decorate surfaces, which is economical and fast, achieving very beautiful finishes. You will learn to apply the decorative element in various ways and to engrave a piece of metal with different depths. You will also learn to work the corresponding acid for each metal, its way of acting and its correct and safe use.
