Stone setting is one of the essential steps in fabrication of jewelry, in which stones are holded by a metal frame.
Goals
Besides holding the stone with security, it is important to highlight its shine, the cut, the clarity and its color.

In this course the student will acquire skill in the preparation and handling of the different tools for stone setting. You will learn how to make different types of frames taking into account the great variety of stone shapes and the design of the piece. We will cover a few possibilities and the basics of setting.
The course is structured in exercises to learn the following types of stone setting:
With grain to burin.
With mouths or chatons.
By tension.
Russian or invisible.
With claws or staples.

Schedule:
Monday to Thursday from 10am to 2pm.
Monday & Wednesday from 4pm to 8pm.
You can start at any time of the year from September to July.
